ALHA was originally founded in 1937 as the Cashier’s
Association. Over the years,
the Association’s name changed, as did the nature of the insurance
business.
By 1980, the association had grown and was known
nationally as the Life Insurance Company Office
Management Association (LICOMA).
In 1995 the name was changed to what it is presently called,
Association of Life and Health Administrators.
